On August 15th 2013 in the village of Gorna Malina – on one of the major feast days for the Orthodox Christian world – the Assumption of the Virgin Mary – a new tourist complex opened for visitors – Guest Houses for rural tourism “Villa Atica”.
The site is a private investment of a local company, registered in Gorna Malina municipality and co-funded by the EU Rural Development programme, measure 312 of State Fund Agriculture.
The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Gorna Malina Municipality – Mr. Emil Naydenov, representatives of the municipal administration, representatives of local businesses, of state administration, financial institutions, friends, etc. The parish priest protoiereus Serafim Yanev performed a blessing of waters and a blessing of the villa complex.
